Magazine Advert Features

Magazine adverts are important in order to promote the digipak. They are often easily recognisable so an audience knows which artist the magazine advert is promoting. The magazine advert will usually include a 'featuring' and the name or names of songs that are featured on the digipak that have had chart success. Putting these big hits on the advert engages the audience and draws attention to the songs on the digipak, making people want to buy it. Magazine adverts are bold and to the point. They do not feature a lot of information as an audience is not likely to look at the advert if it has lots of information. The language used is informative and basic. The imagery used on the magazine advert is often the album artwork itself. This is simply so the consumer will know what to look for when they go to buy the digipak. If the magazine advert does not use the album artwork, it will usually feature a similar image .i.e. with the artist wearing the same costume and the same colour scheme used.
